Cub Scout Pack 168

Dover, New Hampshire

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 168!

Cub Scout Pack 168 is a volunteer run organization located in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire, in the town of Dover. Our Cub Scout Pack is chartered by the Parish of the Assumption, and serves youth from grades K-5.

Utilizing the Aims and Methods of Scouting, our Cub Scout Pack provides young people with tons of fun activities to experience with friends.

Ideals of Scouting

The ideals of Cub Scouting are spelled out in the Scout Oath, the Scout Law, and the Cub Scout motto "Do Your Best!". The Scout measures themselves against these ideals and continually tries to improve.

Through hikes, fishing, camping and outdoor adventures, Scouts learn environmental conservation, outdoor safety, first-aid, knot-tying, and many other useful skills.

Scouts learn character, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership by living the ideals, belonging to a Cub Scout Den, wearing the Cub Scout uniform, advancement, family involvement, and serving the neighborhood.

Outdoor Programs

Scouting is outing! Cub Scouts love to spend time outdoors. From pitching tents to cooking over open campfires, our seasonal campouts at places like Camp Carpenter build lasting memories, team spirit, and self-reliance skills.

How to Join?

Cub Scouts and Parent Volunteers may sign up for Cub Scout Pack 168 at beascout.scouting.org. Cub Scouts will be required to submit an Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A & B), and should do their best to wear a Cub Scout Uniform and bring a Scout Rank handbook to meetings (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, or Arrow of Light).

What to Expect?

Our Cub Scouts spend their time learning skills & citizenship, volunteering, hiking, doing skits/public speaking, camping, fishing, bicycling, swimming, and so much more.

The Pack is organized into smaller groups of similar ages called Dens. Den Leaders organize activities for the Cub Scouts to complete which count towards adventure loops/pens and rank advancements.

Pack and Den Meetings

Pack 168 meets year round, twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Mondays from 5:30-7pm at St Marys Academy or alternate locations around the Dover area for hikes/bicycling/volunteering/fishing/etc. Alternate meeting locations are announced to parents, published on our Pack 168 calendar, and shared over Signal messenger.

Pack meeting days are shifted to account for holidays. The Pack also schedules weekend activities, including camp-outs, hikes and other outings. Cub Scouts Dens may also meet separately outside of the Pack meetings for Den events (e.g. to practice knife safety).
